Product Description

Bring tranquility into any space with this simple yet elegantly designed wooden box.

This rounded wooden box is made of basswood and pine, measures 7" x 4.75", stands 4.75" tall, and features exterior gold-tone clasp and hinges. I've burned, by hand, the Kanji (Japanese) symbol for "tranquility" with its English translation on the lid, and adorned the front and back panels with a delicate lotus flower design, also burned by hand. After the burning, I sprayed the entire box with a glossy clear acrylic sealant, to protect the box and prevent yellowing from age and sun.

Inside, I've added a layer of crushed black penne fabric (similar to velvet) to protect any and all of the valuables you deem worthy of storing within it. The fabric is not tight, so small things might get lost in the material.

The bottom of the box features artist logo, name and year, as pictured.
